Tired of reading the Starr report?? Well you're in luck, cause it's that time again... Another month gone by, another weekend to doff your duds, strut your stuff and win the admiration (and telephone numbers) of the masses known as our audience. :-) Yup, it's Lingerie Night, Midnight Insanity's tradition dress-in-your- skivvies show! It's also our last show before we begin our October block of shows. You see, October is, of course, our month, and to pay proper tribute, we've put together a number of special shows and theme nights as we count down the weeks towards the big day, aka "Halloween", which, as you should well know, is on a Saturday this year!! But, more on that in a minute... Soup to Nuts We start off the month of October with a different sort of special night ... it's called "Rocky Soup". You've seen us do Tacky Horror, but this is a bit different. As if there wasn't enough chaos on stage on a regular night, this performance will be dictated by the random elements of the universe. Our regular performers will draw character names out of a hat and that, will be the role you play that night. Kind of impromptu-Rocky Horror. To make things a touch weirder, we'll also be playing the new role in our original costumes ... so you just might see Eddie doing the Time Warp, or Janet doing push-ups during "I Can Make You a Man". And yes, this will be a million times better than that so-called "Live" episode of ER. :-) |
It's almost here, people. The rooms are sold out (but there *are* alternatives ... call Megan Tabor for the details at 702- 434-8361 for more info) and the ticket deadline has been extended again. We're packing up our stuff and headed for the bright lights of Las Vegas!! RockyCon '98 will take place on the weekend of October 9th and 10th (though some of us will be arriving on Thursday night) at the Four Queens Hotel off Fremont Street. Midnight Insanity will be attending this convention in large numbers, as will several other casts, so there'll be plenty of weirdness to satiate your needs this weekend. If you can make it, we highly recommend it. Let us know if you plan to make it to the Convention, and be sure to cheer for your home cast, Midnight Insanity!!! Pimp and Hooker Night Lookin' cheap on the street is nothing new to most Rocky fans, but every so often, we set aside a night to really outdo ourselves. As part of our October brigade-of-special-shows, we are bringing back "Pimp and Hooker Night", probably Midnight Insanity's second-favorite theme night ... as evidenced by the pictures we took the *last* time we did this. :-) Pimp and Hooker Night will be held on Saturday, October 17th (the weekend after we get back from Con) so if you don't make it to Con, you can spend the time hitting thrift stores and seeing what cool costume pieces you can pick up (and yes, we know how much you enjoy it!) |

Creepy, crawly, spooky creatures and things that go `bump' in the night, invade our stage for Midnight Insanity's Second Annual "Monster Horror" Night!! If you didn't see it last year, you'd best not miss it this year!! Midnight Insanity performers morph into various monsters/creatures for a night, and the Transylvanian squad become a mass of walking zombies. You're invited to join us by dressing up as your favorite monster for the evening. Monster Horror will be on Saturday, October 24th. Halloween!!! The end of our October-fest is, of course, our favorite holiday of the year, "Halloween". Halloween is on a Saturday this year, and that means that we'll be PACKED for the evening. We strongly suggest you get here early, as there's a pretty good chance we could sell out ... or, we might just pack you all in, but we'll see what "incentives" you bring us that evening. :-) We will, of course, have the traditional Halloween Costume Contest, complete with prizes. We'll probably also have a Lingerie Contest, as it's still the last Saturday of the month, so we'll have lingerie contestants as well. :-) As if that wasn't enough, we're also throwing in a Special Performance. See you here, October 31st!!! Timbo-alert! Drooling for more Tim? Well, you're in luck... Tim Curry stars as "Gomez Addams" in the new "Addams Family Reunion" movie, which has just been released on video. The movie also features Daryl Hannah as Morticia, and Ed Begley Jr. as Phillip (!?) Addams. Reviews are mixed, some say it's hilarious, others say it stank ... then again, those are probably the same people who didn't like Rocky Horror either, so go rent it and tell us what you think. :-) And, as long |
Shorehouse If, after the show, you have an attack of the munchies and you wish to join us at the Shorehouse Caf‚, we ask that you get a table on the left-side of the restaurant, as the cast room is limited to cast only. Sorry `bout that but we're a poor bunch and simply can't cover the skipped checks left by some of your lesser life forms. Admittance into the cast room is cool, as soon as our bill is paid ... see "Bob" as she is Queen of that domain. The Best of Tymes Well folks, you know, it's been pretty cool but, all good things eventually come to an end. I (Brad), have been writing the Transylvanian Tymes for almost five years now, and it's time for a well-deserved rest. To be honest, I don't know if I'll hang up this hat for good, or if I'll come back someday in the future, but for now, I think it's best to move on.
